Somebody once said, “It's better to know everything about something, than some things about everything.” This case in point is true to Mr. J.D. Agarwal, Chairman, Bombay Rayon. An excellence par excellence in the field of Textiles, whose indigenous passion for Quality Fabrics dates back to 1986, the year of Bombay Rayon's genesis.

All through these glorious years, Mr. J.D. Agarwal was knitting the web of Bombay Rayon's enhanced future, which was brought to life only three years ago, when he, along with his two sons, Aman Agarwal (Vice Chairman) and Prashant Agarwal (Managing Director) flagged off the Apparel Division of Bombay Rayon.
 

 

What began as a small dream nearly three decades ago has today shaped up as a US $45m global conglomerate simultaneously achieving the distinction of being one of the fastest growing in the Indian apparel industry.

And now, with a team of committed professionals ably managed by a highly qualified management, Bombay Rayon is using all the experience earned through the years in reaffirming to the world that Bombay Rayon is indeed - The Future of Global Fashion from India.
 

The Management of the company is a combination of Business/Functional structure and is broadly organized in three tiers.
There are two main businesses viz. Fabrics and Garments. The home furnishing business is just getting off the ground.
The businesses cater to both domestic and export markets and are organized on functional basis. The top tier consists of Directors in executive capacity overseeing multiple functions/Businesses.
The second tier consists of senior executives at business head/functional head level.
The third tier consists of officers and staff who are working as backup.

The employees are divided in five cadres and placed in multiple grades depending upon their age, qualifications and experience. The management believes in all round development of its employees to grow in their chosen areas. The company is in a rapid expansion on mode and hence is in the process of recruiting talented people from industry with a view to build a world class organization based on its core values and goals.
